January 23, 2025 FIL ROUGE of ARIADNE
Brief concept of Fil Rouge of Ariadne:
It’s a blend of two myths—the red thread and Ovid’s tale of Ariadne saving Theseus from being lost. Imagine Ariadne as your art. Every step you take towards it is redemptive; following this red thread (of your creativity) will lead you to discover your true self, your creative self, your salvation. Because your art is you, and you live through it, and it is the guide that saves you. I am certain that your contribution to this project will deeply resonate with the audience and further amplify your unique voice in the art world.

Artist Natalia Rose
If we have to describe Natalia Rose’s style in two words, they would be chromatic symbolism. Let me elaborate: the artist construct intricate textures and chromatic layers that amplify the meaning of her works. Natalia Rose embraces a style that merges elements of Abstract Expressionism and gestural painting. Her works exude a powerful dynamism, where colors and subjects work in harmony to evoke
sensations, emotions, and reflections. Rose’s art contributes to the contemporary discourse on the evocative power of abstraction, enabling a
universal form of communication that transcends linguistic barriers. Her pieces embody the idea of art as Ariadne’s thread, guiding us through the labyrinths of emotions and experiences. In Yellow Flowers in Red Vase, Rose conveys vitality and emotional warmth, with the bright yellows of the flowers emerging from an intense red background. A similar palette is found in A Way Out, a piece that plays with geometric shapes and horizontal lines, evoking a sense of order and direction. The apparent simplicity of the composition conceals a deep narrative, inviting reflection on the possibility of change. Red Fish is a visual whirlwind of dynamic lines and vibrant colors. The red fish stands as the focal point amidst a sea of greens and blues, symbolizing the strength of the subject. The composition radiates energy and movement, brought to life through striking chromatic contrasts. Shifting to a cooler palette, Winter Lights captures the stillness and beauty of winter through deep blues and whites, accented by touches of warm light. The brushstrokes are swift yet deliberate, creating an atmosphere of serene contemplation. Finally, Gordian Knot (2021) features intricate, overlapping lines forming a dense network, with metallic hues and blues imparting an enigmatic aura. The piece invites the viewer to reflect on the concept of challenges and resolution, encapsulating Rose’s ability to weave complexity into her art.
